Family Dedication
Beginning the journey of parenthood.
Why does Highpoint have a family (Parent/Child) dedication?
It is a wonderful
privilege to be a parent. Parenting comes with tremendous responsibilities.
At Highpoint, we want to give parents the opportunity to express the
commitment they have made to their child before God in a public setting.
While there is no Biblical requirement for us to dedicate our children,
it is modeled in scripture. When a family comes for dedication at Highpoint Church they are making a commitment to raise their child in a Godly family.
We ask parents to make three commitments:
1. Ground the child in God's word
2. Grow the child in God's grace
3. Give the child to God's work
What will happen at a family dedication?
Parents will publicly acknowledge
that their child is a gift from God and commit to raise their child in
a godly manner and for God's honor to the best of their ability. Our
Family Dedication is also a time for extended family and friends, as
well as the Highpoint Church family to commit to assist the parents in
raising their child in a godly manner.
How often does Highpoint offer
family dedication?
We have family dedication during our worship services
3 to 4 times per year. If you have a child in Love Me Tender or Teddy
Bears you will be notified through Graceland when the next family dedication
service will occur.
Our next family dedication will occur in October or November. If you are interested in more information when we get a specific date set, please fill out the form below. Thank you.
