THE APPLICATION PROCESS
Update your resume and take the StrengthsFinder Top 5 Strengths Access test. It costs $15, but the insight is worth it. Record your answers; you'll see this again later.
Fill out the Highpoint Leadership Institute Application by January 31, 2017. There are 2 parts to the application – please allow extra time for Part 2.
Sit back and wait to hear from us by February 28, 2017.
If accepted into the program, you will be invited to a mandatory fundraising workshop at Highpoint Church at the end of March 2017.
The Highpoint Leadership Institute part-time internship program begins August 1, 2017.
HOW LONG ARE INTERNSHIPS?
Internships are typically an 11-month commitment, with an invitation-only option of a second year. A part-time internship requires 20-25 hours of work per week.
HOW LONG DOES THE APPLICATION PROCESS TAKE?
The application is available for submission until January 31, 2017, and you'll hear from us by February 28, 2017. In theory, the sooner you apply, the sooner you'll hear back from us!
IS THIS A PAID POSITION?
It is, but it's self-funded. Don't be intimidated by this. Investment is not an expense; it's an opportunity for a greater return on investment. Your family and friends have always been invested in your development and will consider this a worthy investment. Highpoint Leadership Institute will train you in a proven fundraising model that enables you to raise 100% of your funding in 100 days. We know this is challenging, but it's a faith journey that gives you the opportunity to experience God's provision and direction in your life. Trust us on this one.
HOW DOES THE SUPPORT-RAISING PROCESS WORK?
All interns raise their support from outside sources. Highpoint Leadership Institute provides the training and accountability necessary for our interns to raise support, and we require all support-raising interns to attend our training workshop at Highpoint Church at the end of March, 2017 (date tbc). This training gives you a comprehensive look at biblical stewardship, fundraising goals, and practical tools to invite people to support you in this opportunity. In addition, your Director will coach you throughout your 100 days of fundraising.
HOW MUCH DO I NEED TO RAISE?
The baseline fundraising requirement for a part-time intern is $1,100 per month. However, the application process takes into consideration the unique financial position of each applicant for the purpose of building a reasonable budget. There are many details and moving parts that will be customized to your individual situation. Any exceptions can be discussed upon acceptance into the program.
I HAVE MORE QUESTIONS. CAN I TALK TO ONE OF YOUR LEADERS?
Absolutely! Please fill out the form below and we'll follow up with you by phone, or you can email Sue Strydom.
