JumpStart: HP Kids

Salvation and Baptism

The HP Kids staff team is here to partner with you for all your 7000days. We know that your child's salvation is the most important decision of their life. We also know you have most likely been praying for them to make this decision since they were born. JumpStart: HP Kids is a process designed to help you and your child walk together as your child takes his or her first spiritual steps.

1. Read the book Giant Love with your child and pray for their salvation.

When you child is asking more questions, turn to page 21 and begin, "Understanding Giant Love."  When they are ready, lead them through the "Giant Prayer" on page 28. If your child prays the "Giant Prayer" log the date in the space provided, celebrate and contact HP Kids so we can celebrate with you!

2. Attend JumpStart: Giant Love

At "JumpStart: Giant Love" you and your child will hear the story of God's Giant Love for us. Andy Savage and our HP Kids staff will be available to talk with you and your child about his or her decision. We will also help your child walk through a "My Testimony" worksheet to prepare to tell his or her story. If your child is not ready for this step, you can take the worksheet home to talk through it with your child.

If your child has not trusted Christ yet, but you or your child have questions come to JumpStart! We are here to walk with you every step of the way. You may come to JumpStart more than once.

3. Attend JumpStart: Going Public

At "JumpStart: Going Public" you and your child will walk through the events of their baptism with HP Kids staff. Your child will also get to see and feel the "Going Public" tank on the big stage. The video team will record your child's "Going Public" video using the "My Testimony" worsksheet and schedule your child's baptism date.

4. Celebrate through Baptism

Record this date in your Giant Love book on page 31, and use the book as a reminder of your child's decision as they grow up.

We encourage parents to allow their child 3-6 months to process and understand their decision to trust Christ before taking the step to baptism. During this time, we encourage you to walk through the steps above to make this meaningful for your child and your family.

SIGN UP FOR JUMPSTART:GIANT LOVE

Our next JumpStart: GIANT LOVE will be Wednesday, February 29th, at 6:30 PM.  Please reserve your spot by filling out the form below.  Every child who is interested in baptism at Highpoint will attend JumpStart:GIANT LOVE prior to scheduling a date for baptism.

HP Kids will be open during JumpStart: GIANT LOVE for kids who are younger than 5 or who are not ready to attend JumpStart yet.
