Joining the Highpoint family

What is membership?

Membership at Highpoint Church is a commitment to fulfill the Vision & Values of being a perfect place for imperfect people...making disciples by creating environments to Worship, Connect, Equip and Serve.

What are the specifics of making a commitment to membership?

The first commitment you must make In order to join Highpoint Church is a commitment to be a Christ-follower. A Christ-follower is someone who turns from their sin and places their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

The second commitment you make is to pursue the Vision & Values of Highpoint Church.   It is expected that members of Highpoint Church will be involved in the entire Roadmap of Worship, Connect, Equip and Serve.

How do I make a commitment to membership at Highpoint Church?

To become a member at Highpoint Church, you will need to fill out a membership covenant. There are several opportunities available for you to sign a membership covenant.

Pastor Dinner

Pastor Dinner is an opportunity for you to meet others who are new to Highpoint and have dinner with many of the HP staff. You will hear the vision and values of Highpoint Church and have the opportunity to ask any questions. If you would like to join Highpoint Church at the Pastor Dinner, a membership covenant will be available there. Our next Pastor Dinner will be on September 14 at 5:30 pm at Briarcrest Christian School. Childcare will not be provided, but childcare reimbursement is available. If you would like to register for the next Pastor Dinner, please fill out the registration form below and select "Pastor Dinner".

Roadmap Class

We also offer a Roadmap Class continually throughout the year where you can learn the details of worship, connect, equip and serve for 4 weeks. You can jump into this class at any time.  This class is a great way to connect with others and learn about the vision and values of Highpoint at the same time. Upon completion, you will have the opportunity to join Highpoint.

What does Highpoint believe about certain aspects of the Bible?

Please visit our What We Believe page for more details on our beliefs on many aspects of doctrine.

What is Highpoint Church's governing structure?

For more information on elders and trustees at Highpoint, please browse the bylaws of Highpoint Church.

What denomination is Highpoint Church?

Highpoint Church is non-denominational.  We have chosen to be non-denominational in order to be available to many types of people.  We know that denominational stereotypes unintentionally create barriers for some people when choosing a church.  We believe that non-denominational is the path of least resistance in order to build a church of people who follow Jesus as their Savior and allow the Bible to have authority in their lives.

What does Highpoint Church believe about baptism?

Highpoint Church believes that baptism is a public sign of identification with the message and mission of Jesus Christ. It is an outward sign of the life change that has already begun in the life of a believer after they have entered into new life with Christ.  To read more about Highpoint's beliefs on baptism or to listen to a message on baptism by Pastor Chris Conlee, please visit the Baptism page.

What does Highpoint Church believe about communion?

Highpoint Church believes communion is a time to remember the past in order to live for the future.  Highpoint Church celebrates communion six to eight times a year in our Sunday worship services because we desire for each time to be special and significant in your spiritual journey.  For more information or to listen to a message on Communion by Pastor Chris Conlee, please visit the Communion page.

What are Highpoint's plans regarding land and facilities in the future?

Highpoint has a long range planning team made up of committed church members who meet with a goal and objective to have Highpoint in the first phase of a facility in 2012.
