HOW WE GOT HERE
Chris Conlee and Andy Savage dreamed of planting a church with a simple goal: to prove that love works. They didn’t set out to start just another church, but rather with the conviction that Memphis needed another kind of church. A group of people who would redefine “church” and redeem our city for His glory.
The story of Highpoint is not the story of a good idea. It’s the story of a God idea. It’s the story of turning a vision into a reality. It’s the story of defining problems and offering solutions. It’s the story of repentance and faith, of forgiveness and freedom. It’s the story of failing forward. It’s the story of a perfect place for imperfect people.
Nothing defines Highpoint Church more than Moses’ prayer in Exodus: “I pray Thee, show me Your glory” (33:18). We see the glory of God every time someone realizes that only love covers a multitude of sins, only love never fails, and only love works. We see the glory of God through every story of life change, and nothing is more glorious than watching people love God, love people, and make disciples.
God is at work at Highpoint Church. If you haven’t visited, we invite you to see for yourself how exciting church can be when the focus is simple and people are free to go after God with passion!
