Vision + Values

VISION AND VALUES

WE EXIST TO PROVE LOVE WORKS

Why is this our vision? It’s simple, really – love isn’t working for most people. In fact, it’s worse than that; for many, what they think is love ends up hurting, not working. That’s a problem that demands a solution. Money can’t solve this dilemma; only Jesus can. It’s only through Jesus that love conquers all of our shortcomings. It’s only through Jesus that love works.

Highpoint Church was born of a dream to be a church that offers compassion without compromise. A place where the relentless teaching of God’s Word would make sense for people in real life. A place where worship would be a celebration of freedom. A place where people feel connection and move from acquaintances to deep friendships. A place where people are equipped to maximize their potential. A place where the Great Commandment and the Great Commission come alive through acts of service and love. A place where love works.

VALUES

FOUND PEOPLE FIND PEOPLE

If someone had saved your life, would you keep quiet about it? Probably not. The first thing you do when you receive good news is share it. Ultimately, our goal is for you to experience so much good news that you can’t keep quiet. In fact, we believe there’s no greater joy than the lost being found.

CONNECTED PEOPLE CONNECT PEOPLE

If God’s people are going to be known by love, then we must also be known by friendship. Nothing determines the quality and direction of your life more than godly friends. It’s our responsibility and privilege to encourage one another, stimulate one another to love and good deeds, restore one another in a spirit of gentleness, bear one another’s burdens, and live for one another’s joy in the faith.

SERVED PEOPLE SERVE

What’s the alternative? Living life off a silver platter? It’s time for us to move from being consumers to contributors. When we serve according to our strengths, the church is built up, the mission is advanced, and we are fulfilled.

GRATEFUL PEOPLE GIVE

Are you a giver or a taker? The determining factor is gratitude. When we understand that God is the giver of all things, how can we not want to give out of the fullness of that bounty? It’s only through the lens of gratitude that we love giving more than receiving.

APPROACH

We want people to find our Sunday experience so appealing, the presentation so engaging, and the content so helpful that they want to come back next week with a friend.

We are one hundred percent committed to the timeless truths of the Word of God, but we’re also committed to presenting them in a timely way. We understand and prioritize the difference between theology and methodology, between function and form, and between substance and style. In other words, we don’t tailor our content for the unchurched person, we tailor our experience for the unchurched person.

Our definition of winning is movement. Life change is a journey; that’s why we’re always talking about the importance of your next step. Our ultimate goal is to move you from where you are to where God wants you to be.
