CREW Serve

CREW Serve is a monthly opportunity for students, group leaders, and parents to serve in our community. The third Saturday of each month, CREW partners with a Memphis-area organization that is already making an incredible difference in our city. We are passionate about serving our community together and consider it our privilege and responsibility to bring hope to this city we love so much.

Read below for more details about these incredible organizations.

Asha's Refuge has a heart to help refugees with the difficulties they may experience as they settle into a new country and community. Many of the refugees they serve have a disability, an illness, are elderly, are parents with multiple children, are preschoolers in need of an educational head start, are uneducated, have no job skills, do not speak English, are young adults at risk for human trafficking or other crimes, are single parents, or are widows. Refugees facing these challenges often take longer to achieve successful resettlement, and that's where Asha's Refuge comes in.

HOW CREW PARTNERS WITH ASHA'S REFUGE: From food drives and clothing collections, to spending time with the kids of the refugee families, there are many ways CREW gets to partner with Asha’s throughout the year.

Life Choices is an organization on mission to empower and educate women to choose and cherish life by offering a loving, non-judgmental medical center for women who find themselves in an unplanned, unexpected pregnancy. They are also a licensed adoption agency.

HOW CREW PARTNERS WITH LIFE CHOICES: From participating in the Life Walk each April, to sorting baby clothes and supplies for new moms, to helping maintain the grounds and building, there are many ways CREW gets to help support the mission at Life Choices.

Memphis Athletic Ministries (MAM) exists to coach, grow, and lead the youth of Memphis by helping them discover their identity in Christ and their purpose in the community. MAM provides year-round, Christ-centered mentoring programs, small groups, and organized athletics to youth through seven different community centers in disadvantaged neighborhoods. Their Christ-centered programs are used to teach life lessons and help youth grow in their faith. MAM’s vision is to see identity found, hope restored, and lives changed.

HOW CREW PARTNERS WITH MAM: From helping out with their sports' clinics, to cheering on MAM students at games, to helping clean and maintain the grounds, there are lots of ways CREW can help support the many ministries that happen at MAM.

The Memphis Union Mission ministers to the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of men, women, and children who are homeless, addicted, and in crisis, helping them to become disciples of Christ and self-sufficient members of the community. On the fourth Sunday of every month, Highpoint sponsors a meal and worship for the men of the Memphis Union Mission, and we need people to help cook, prepare, and serve the food.
