The Marriage Project

The Marriage Project

What to do when you say "I do."

August 22 - October 3
Thursdays @ 6:30-8:30pm

East Memphis Campus

What are your first thoughts when you think about getting married? Do you dream about setting up your new home and getting a puppy together? Do you think about having kids and where they’ll go to school and what vacations you’ll take? Or do you allow the the statistic of “50% of marriages end in divorce” to take over your excitement?

Even if you tend to see the glass half full and dream about all the new adventures your new married life will bring, more than likely you wonder, “Do we have what it takes? Will we be happy? Are we making the right decision?”

The goal of The Marriage Project is to give you tools that will help your marriage thrive. You will be immersed in teaching from Bob Willumsen and The Marriage Project team on topics such as:

  • selfishness
  • choosing love
  • sex
  • money
  • in-laws
  • roles in marriage
  • boundaries
  • expectations
  • conflict resolution
  • communication
  • building and maintaining trust

This class includes teaching followed by group discussion facilitated by a trained mentor couple to help you apply what you learn. Think of this class as a marriage university to prepare you for the rest of your lives together... and you'll even get a discount on your marriage license just for completing the course! If you're getting married soon and need information on how to obtain your Tennessee marriage license, click here. (Please note that the class is only valid for one year to receive a discount on your marriage license.)

If you have questions about The Marriage Project, let us know.

We love it when two people commit to spending the rest of their lives together, and we count it a privilege to come alongside you and help you on your way to a God-honoring and healthy marriage. Once you’re engaged, one of the first things you’ll likely do together is plan a wedding. If you’re interested in having one of our pastors perform your ceremony, this is a great place to start.
